Dr Rahul Sinha loves the daily interaction with his patients and the dynamic nature of working as a GP. He believes this helps to keep him on his toes, focusing his mind so he can do the best for every individual.
Dr Sinha chose to become a General Practitioner as he believes it is the very basis of primary care and the foundation supporting all other medical disciplines. The general practice and family physician has a crucial role in building and supporting a robust and responsive health system.
Dr Sinha graduated from Stanley Medical College in Chennai, India, with a Bachelor of Medicine in 1996 and then pursued surgical training from 1998-2001 in new Delhi. In 2002 he moved to the UK, where he practised in Scotland and England for 10 years. In 2012, he moved to Australia and began working at Rye Family Clinic. He is a GP Principal and is involved in the day-to-day operations and administration of the practice. He is also a GP Supervisor and educator, with the responsibility of training and supervising a GP Registrar. When he’s not working, you will find Dr Sinha spending time with his family, especially his twin boys. He would love to go stargazing and camping in the bush with the family, work and other commitments permitting.
