Welcome to Rye Family Clinic

We are a family owned and family orientated medical clinic.

For up to date information about the current phase of the COVID vaccine (Astra Zeneca) rollout, please read this document.

We are fully accredited and provide comprehensive care including women’s health, men’s health, children’s health and immunisations, travel vaccinations and skin checks. We have been servicing patients from Rye and the surrounding suburbs of the Mornington Peninsula since 2012. We have enjoyed enormous community support and have continued to grow since our establishment.

Due to the ongoing spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), our practice will be conducting the majority of our consultations by phone from now until further notice. All EXISTING patients of the clinic with a Medicare card can access BULK BILLED Phone Consults.

New patients and patients with no Medicare will need to pay $50 (but note that no Medicare rebate is payable) for a Phone Consult. The fee must be paid BEFORE the consult by providing credit or debit card details over the phone. Phone Consults can be booked online or by phone.

We will continue to see the patients for face to face consultations in the clinic in the following circumstances:

  • childhood immunisations and flu vaccines;
  • dressings and wound care; and
  • face to face consults arranged with your GP during a Phone Consult, where the GP has decided that you need to be seen in person in order to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment (for example, when you need a physical examination).

Our normal billing policies will apply if you need come into the clinic for a face to face consult (but if you have paid a private fee for a Phone Consult this will be taken into account).

If possible, a Phone Consult is recommended instead of a face-to-face consultation for patients with high risk of developing serious complications if they contract COVID-19, including people aged over 65, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, and people under treatment for chronic health conditions or who are immune compromised (such as people with diabetes, heart disease, asthma, arthritis or other similar conditions).

However, it should be noted that not all health issues can be properly dealt with in a Phone Consult - you may need to come to our clinic, for example for a blood pressure check, or a physical examination of an injury. If during a Phone Consult, your GP deems it appropriate to see you face-to-face at the clinic, a time will be arranged for this.

We have four diverse and highly experienced general practitioners who consult with us, three of which are male and one is female. We also have onsite a psychologist, physiotherapist and a dentist. Some of these services can be bulk billed under a Care Plan. Please ask one of our receptionists or speak to your general practitioner regarding your eligibility. Should you not be eligible to have these services bulk billed the private fees are very competitive.

We are open 7 days a week for the convenience of our patients. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am - 7:00pm, Saturday, 9:00am - 2:00pm, and Sunday 9:00am - 1:00pm We are closed on Public Holidays.
